The Diamond Dogs  trial of 1200 spins and the subsequent mounting of the Frequency Table was interesting to say the least.  Of all the Frequency Tables of the different NetEnt slot games, that I have done, Diamond Dog was unique. It had a very high RTP (Return To Player… money won) However, I found that it was not a very stable performer. Unlike some other slot games like Golden Shamrock, Thrill Spin, Fortune Teller and Excalibur the amplitude and frequency of the wins were erratic, with large wins making up for the majority of the RTP. This will give a player a very thin foundation to implement the Oscillation System. So I wouldn’t recommend it for Diamond Dogs. However the RTP in general was very good when you counted in the two sets of 100 spins that won more than 10,000 coins each. So unlike Wild Witches which also did not conform to the pattern needed for the Oscillation system, Diamond Dog is a winner. The Diamond Doggies Frequency Table below is a record of 12 sets of 100 spins each. One hundred spins is an arbitrary number chosen for the simple reason that it is a number of spins that are manageable and can be compared to other sets in order to digest the information on how the slot game performed over time. The beginning and ending balances in this table are in coins not money. The wins too, are in coins.  I had Max Bet placed on the slot game which is 4 coins on all 25 betlines (100 coins). A player could then have the lowest coin value of .01 cents or the highest value of .50 cents or any value in between, placed on the coins. This would then make the spins worth between 2€ or 50€ each, depending on the value placed. So how do we keep score to see the performance of any slot game? It is simple… just define a win that is big enough to effect the account balance and keep track of how many times this win occurs, when and how much. Conclusions from the Study of Diamond Dogs Mac Slot Game

NetEnt software  is designed by a very reputable company consisting of “Good People”. What I mean by this is that NetEnt focuses on quality and stability  along with profitability for their Casino Partners. These slots are brought online by casinos that are focusing in the same direction. So the profits are small for the Casinos but they are fair and attract players to their casinos which offer other more profitable offerings. So the RTP is very generous at about 96%  on average. But not all the slot games can be designed to have an exact 96% RTP.  Due to the complexity of the design some out perform others. So this is what we are picking up during these studies. Besides the RTP we are seeing the RTP profiles… meaning how often and to what amount.

Where were the Wins (PDWA)

There were 25 PDWA. The ways the NetEnt designers created the slot game in order to win back your hard earned money  and “TRYING” create a 96% (more or less) RTP with Diamond Dogs were 3 ways:

1. Betline Wins
2. 10 Free Spins mode
3. Bonus Game mode

With these 3 ways to win with Diamond Dogs, there were different amounts of PDWA won in each way to win. There were:

1. Betline Wins -  had 7 PDWA
2. 10 Free Spins -  had 13 PDWA
3. Bonus Game -  had 5 PDWA

So as you can see from the scores above the 10 Free Spin mode is where you can expect to get most of your “return on investment” so to speak. The bonus games were disappointing. I found that I hit approximately 15 bonus games but the majority of them did not go over 10 X the wage. It is a little annoying when you have waited for a good return then all the points behind the photos are small or you pick a “Dud Dog” right away. There are 3 Duds in each Bonus game set that will return you to the normal spin mode. There are 12 dogs lined up for the Fito shoot, in all.  So every 4th symbol is a Bad Dog. I found no consistency in the values of the points won in the group of dogs. There could be one Dog hiding 2400 points in the group or the highest point dog could only be a few hundred coins. It varied a lot between the different Bonus Game modes without any correlation to the wager amounts nor number of scatters  that sent you into the Bonus Game. See the examples below.

Image Left: This was one of the better wins with the Bonus Game. You can see the 2700 coin Chiwawa I clicked on in the bottom row. But not all the bonus games had large coined Dogs.

Image Center: This Bonus game came out fairly well even though there was not a large behind one dog.  I was clairvoyant enough to know were the “Bad Dogs” were hiding and avoided them all. I have 5 dogs of my own so I had a lot of experience knowing which dogs are good and who is the bad dog. (LOL) But my point is that not all the Bonus games had the large wins hiding behind the canines pelts.

In the above example there was a very large win available but I was “dog dumped” before I got to it. So the Bonus games were not the place to pick up a lot of PDWA. It was in the free spin modes.

How Did Diamond Dog Perform Over-All

It was the Free Spin Modes that were the good performing wins. There were enough scatters hit to give us more than 1 free spin mode per 100 spin set on average. That’s good. And the betline wins were sufficient enough to add up during the 10 spins to be more than 10 x bet every time. This is unlike Golden shamrock (for example) that had small betline wins without expanding wild. So you can see how every slot game is different. And these games are designed in a very complex way. So there is no way that all the games are going to have an exact RTP. Some games are just simply going to perform better and/or differently than the others. This is what the 1200 spin study and the Frequency table is all about. Most players don’t stop and think about this. They simple say that  a system can not work…. not true!

Of the 12 sets of 100 spins 6 were winners and 6 losers. The losses were fairly consistent being about 200o coins per set. The wining sets varied a lot and at times were very large. There were 2 sets (2nd and the 9th) that we won more than 10,000 coins! These 2 sets sent the overall wins up past 20,000 coins in total. Therefore we ended up with a whopping 116% RTP. So I wouldn’t say this is a bad slot game to play…. not at all. But it has the potential of being dangerous… meaning you could loose that sick-pay  you earned.

Oscillation System in Regards To Diamond Dogs

The Oscillation system refers to your casino account oscillating up and down as the session matures. In an Oscillation system we will need a slot game that is suited for it. What we see from the above Frequency Table is that Diamond Dogs can not be counted on for this system. Even though the RTP was spectacular Diamond Dogs is not made for the consistent medium amplitude wins that the Oscillation system is based on.  There was a loss of 5596 coins if we would have used the system of oscillation… “not good”. So I feel that if you wanted to play Diamond Dog I would recommend just enjoy and relax. If you come to a point “anywhere” in the sets and have a winning balance you might want to “call it a day”. But to systematically look for the above mentioned system to quite while you are ahead inside a 100 spin structure, Diamond Dog is not built for it. There were only 6 sets that would have been positive for the Oscillation System. The Oscillation system is more suited for other slot games such as:
